R U A VIRGIN??
What does the word virgin really mean??
As per the dictionary it refers to a person who has never had sex before (Note: the meaning specifies all genders)
Right????
Think for a second...
Is this word really used for all genders???
No right...
It is always used for one specific gender,
*FEMALES*
So does the word virgin does not apply for males????
Is this because virginity can only be tested in females and not in males or because Males can easily hide the truth of their virginity????
*I don't know*
This has been my doubt since the day I came across this word. Till now I have not got the answer.
The first time I came across this word, I didn't hesitate to ask my mom the meaning of it. But my mom did get a bit nervous and actually she was thinking very hard to answer my question. Because I was too small to understand the meaning of sexual intercourse, penis, vagina Hymen, etc.,
But still my mom managed to answer my question without these words.
She did answer it with an example. The example was, as you all can easily guess 'Sita and Rama'.
She told me that both of them were virgin till they got married. They were pure by soul and their heart had no other person.
She told me that Virgin refers to a person who has not been emotionally or physically open with anyone of the opposite gender...
I was convinced with that answer at that age..
When I was doing my high school, my teacher was taking a class on female reproductive system. She told that the presence or absence of hymen determines the virginity of a female. Yes, as all of you even I had this doubt. So I did stand up and asked my teacher, *"How do you determine the virginity of males?"*
My teacher replied that there were no tests to check the virginity of a male...
That night my mind had so many confusions about virginity...
I was not ready to ask my mom this time... So I googled it..
And then finally got an answer that a female is a virgin till her hymen is intact and that she loses her hymen during her first sexual intercourse.
That day I was convinced with this new answer for the word virgin.
And now I am here confused again about the same word...
So if hymen determines the virginity of a female, what determines the virginity of a male???
So does this mean females are created to have sex only with one male, while males are given the freedom to have sexual intercourse with 'n' number of females and still demand for a virgin female to get married to???
Every man in the society needs a Sita to get married. I just want to ask those men a question "Are you like Rama then?"
Sita was so pure and truthful but still Rama doubted her virginity. So what was the use of being so much pure finally???
